OpenCode skills for business: planning, triage, and updates

Install Pipa skills in OpenCode to plan your day, triage requests, and draft project updates. Includes skill links and prompts to use with your work.

At Lunch Pail Labs, we use OpenCode to run Pipa, our agent for business work. Pipa skills give it instructions for jobs like planning the day, sorting requests, and writing project updates.

You can install those skills in your OpenCode setup. Each has a SKILL.md file with the steps the agent should follow.

Install the skills

Run this in your terminal and select OpenCode in the installer:

npx skills add lunchpaillola/pipa-skills

Install the pack if you want Pipa to choose which skill to use. Its router calls other skills. Keep their folders and references together.

Check the installation by asking OpenCode:

Load pipa-daily-plan. Don't run it yet.

Confirm the skill loads. If it doesn't, check the folder, filename, and permissions in the OpenCode skills docs.

Paste a prompt below into OpenCode and replace the text in brackets with your project, tools, or notes. Day planning uses a tracker and calendar; triage and status updates can start with pasted notes. Connect apps before asking the agent to read them. Installing skills does not grant account access.

Plan your day

pipa-daily-plan prioritizes overdue and due-today tasks, then work in progress, then work that supports your goals. If a task is blocked, it looks for a step you can take to unblock it.

Use pipa-daily-plan.
Plan my day for [date] in [timezone].
My goal is [outcome].
Read [project or task list] and [calendar].
Recommend my main focus and what I can do if time allows.
If a task is blocked, identify a step I can take to unblock it.
Tell me if you cannot read a source. Don't change tasks or calendar events.

Triage requests

Use pipa-ticket-triage to sort requests from a tracker, meeting notes, or a message thread. Requests without an owner, scope, or acceptance criteria stay marked as needing information. The skill drafts a reply and recommends who acts next, leaving unknown owners and dates as TBD.

Use pipa-ticket-triage.
Triage the requests in [tracker, thread, or pasted notes].
For each request, recommend a priority and next action.
Flag duplicates and questions that need answers before work can start.
Keep owners and dates as TBD when the source doesn't name them.
Draft replies here. Don't post, assign, close, or move anything.

Draft a project update

pipa-status-update distinguishes blockers from risks and puts the decision or action near the top. For yellow or red status, it calls for an owner, an action, and a trigger for escalation. Name the audience so it can write for your team or client.

Use pipa-status-update.
Write an update for [audience] about [project] as of [date].
Use [tracker, project notes, or links].
Include progress, blockers, decisions needed, and next steps.
Use owners and dates from the sources. Mark anything unknown as TBD.
Draft the update here. Don't send it.

Review before sending

Check the response against your sources. Before the agent posts a comment, assigns work, or sends an update, require approval for each action.

The skills run in OpenCode. To work from Slack, install Pipa Local on your computer. With Pipa Managed, Lunch Pail Labs configures and operates the setup.

If a response misses a step in your process, change the instructions. The skill-writing guide shows how.
