You may want to watch competitors to catch launches early, check your prices, and spot gaps they leave open. You can do that with Pipa and OpenCode, and read the result in Slack every morning. Here's how:
The short version
Install Pipa, tell it in Slack which competitors to watch, say run now to test the brief, then give it a schedule and a channel. Pipa already knows how to set up recurring routines, so a plain description is enough.
Step 1. Install Pipa
Start with the Pipa Local install guide, which covers installation and Slack credentials. Then read the OpenCode Slack integration page for the working folder and trusted-channel setup. Once you're in Slack, everything below happens in chat.
Step 2. Say what to watch
Just tell it in Slack, in your own words. Brain dump what you want. Watch certain pages for specifics like new posts or new pricing. Or follow the general news about a competitor. I never point this at private competitor systems I can't cite publicly.
Keep an eye on COMPETITOR-A for me. Watch their pricing page https://pricing.competitor-a.example and tell me when anything changes. Also flag any news about them from yesterday.
Step 3. Run now, then schedule it
Say run now to test it. Make any tweaks you want based on the run, then give it a schedule and a channel, like every morning at 8 in #competitor-watch. It never creates a recurring job without a preview and your confirmation.
Competitor check - 2026-09-25 (illustration) - COMPETITOR-A pricing: real change. Starter now lists 5 seats, was 3 seats on 2026-09-18. The brief above is an illustration of the format, not a real finding. It uses placeholder names. Real briefs cite the source and the date for every claim, and say plainly when nothing changed.
